Transmission Mount, 1966-72 Type 1 and 1966-67 Type 3, Front, 311-301-265C bolts the front of your transaxle to the chassis. It is rubber bonded, and has a little bit of inches give inches to prevent excessive noise and vibration from being transmitted. Often when these mounts go bad, you will get a distinctive inches CLUNK inches when you push down on the rear of the engine, or when you let the clutch out or shift gears.
